Classification of Elevators :

Class-1 Passenger Elevator:
Elevators that are designed especially for carrying passengers.

Class-2 General Service Elevator:
Basically designed for carrying passengers, but may also used for carrying loads.

Class-3 Bed Elevator:
Basically designed to be used at the health facilities, hospitals for carrying beds

Class-4 Goods Elevator:
An elevator mainly designed and intended for the transport of goods, which are generally accompanied by persons.

Class-5 Dumpwaiters :
Elevators designed for carrying small loads only.

Class-6 High-Speed Elevators:
Elevators designed for high-tower buildings with heavy traffic and heavy duty, travelling with a nominal speed of 2.5 m\sec and more.
